Retail Supervisor

Location: Koror, Palau

Reports To: The General Manager

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our gift shop and spa. This role is responsible for managing inventory, purchasing, sales, and customer service in the gift shop, as well as coordinating spa reservations, providing recommendations, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent customer service abilities, and experience in retail and spa management.

Gift Shop Supervisor:

  • Oversee daily operations of the gift shop, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
  • Manage inventory, including ordering, stocking, and conducting regular audits to maintain optimal levels.
  • Source and purchase unique and high-quality merchandise that aligns with the brand and customer preferences.
  • Maintain vendor relationships and negotiate pricing and terms.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive sales and meet revenue targets.
  • Create targeted sales periods based on inventory and market demand, especially during lower-traffic times of the year.
  • Establish and maintain a strong local referral network to continually generate new customers.
  • Train and supervise gift shop staff, ensuring excellent customer service and product
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests in a professional
  • Ensure accurate pricing, merchandising, and store presentation.
  • Maintain an accurate, up-to-date online presence, including operating hours, special sales, and competitive positioning.
  • Manage social media marketing efforts for the gift shop and spa, including creating promotions, special offers, and engaging content to boost sales and customer 
  • Manage the operating budget in line with revenue goals, operating expenses, and cost of goods.

 

Spa Supervisor:

  • Oversee spa operations, including scheduling, reservations, and daily coordination of services.
  • Manage spa booking system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in appointment
  • Communicate effectively via phone and email for spa bookings and client inquiries.
  • Establish and maintain a strong local referral network to continually generate new customers.
  • Provide recommendations to guests on spa treatments and products to enhance their experience.
  • Ensure spa therapists and staff maintain high service standards and
  • Monitor spa supplies and coordinate orders to maintain stock levels.
  • Implement and promote spa specials and packages to drive sales and guest
  • Previous experience in retail and/or spa preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of computers, inventory programs, and email communication.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and purchasing practices.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and train a team.
  • Proficiency in using POS and reservation systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle customer concerns
  • Passion for hospitality, wellness, and sales.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and respond to emergencies on-call
