We are seeking a Restaurant Manager to oversee all aspects of food and beverage operations at The Canoe House Restaurant, ensuring smooth, efficient, and profitable daily operations. This role includes managing staff, budgets, inventory and guest service standards. The ideal candidate will lead by example—fostering a welcoming environment that reflects the warmth, quality, and hospitality values of The Canoe House.

  • Supervise and manage all food and beverage staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management.
  • Oversee the restaurant’s security personnel, ensuring the safety of guests, staff, and property at all times.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Bar Supervisor to plan menus, beverage offerings, and promotions aligned with guest preferences and seasonal trends.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards in accordance with local regulations.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and ordering systems, managing costs and minimizing waste.
  • Develop and implement staff training programs to enhance service consistency and guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor customer feedback and address issues promptly to ensure exceptional dining experiences.
  • Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring high standards in cleanliness, presentation, and atmosphere.
  • Prepare and maintain financial records, including expense tracking, forecasting, and revenue reporting.
  • Manage budgets and cost controls, ensuring alignment with property goals and profit targets.
  • Coordinate with Marketing and Events teams to promote themed nights, live entertainment, and special functions.
  • Lead daily pre-shift briefings and regular team meetings to communicate goals, expectations, and updates.
  • Support sustainability efforts, including responsible sourcing and waste reduction initiatives.
  • Build a positive, professional work culture that supports teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field 
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory or management experience in a full-service restaurant or hotel F&B setting.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate diverse teams.
  • Proficiency in POS, inventory, and scheduling systems 
  • Knowledge of cost control, basic accounting, and pricing strategy.
  • Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering memorable dining experiences.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Guest satisfaction scores and review ratings
  • Labor and food/beverage cost targets met or exceeded
  • Staff training completion and retention rates
